E-commerce development and process optimization
In the first half of 2024, ACTION S.A. developed its e-commerce operations in both the B2C and B2B segments. Responding to changing consumer expectations and dynamic market conditions, the company focused on investments in future technologies. A key step was to concentrate operations under a new ERP system, which will enable even greater optimization of internal processes and improve operational efficiency. Along with this, the company began implementing solutions based on artificial intelligence (AI) to automate business processes and improve the quality of customer service. In addition, ACTION S.A. adjusted and optimized the company's organizational structures during the period in question to be ready for future challenges. As part of its continued growth, the company moved its e-commerce projects to more efficient platforms, which not only improved the scalability of its operations, but also contributed to a better user experience.
As management experts say, the most effective way to predict the future is to actively shape it. And that is exactly what we are doing. We set the direction of the business for the future. On the one hand, we are adjusting the company internally to the needs of the market, on the other hand we are embedding the business in future-oriented segments of the market using modern project management tools, including AI, says Piotr Bielinski, CEO of ACTION S.A.
Market expansion, strategic acquisitions and effective asset management
As part of its strategy to develop its e-commerce portfolio, ACTION S.A. has completed the acquisition of PomoceDlaSeniora.pl, an online store that offers a wide range of products to support seniors, people with disabilities and their caregivers. The transaction is part of the company's long-term development plan in the area of sales of specialized products and strengthens its position in the rapidly growing health and care market. Indeed, it is estimated that the percentage of seniors over 60 in Polish society will double by 2050.
An important element of the financial strategy in the first half of the year was the sale of real estate in Krakow worth PLN 19.8 million (PLN), which allowed the Company to further strengthen its financial balance sheet.
We see how fast the market is changing, so our main strategy for this year is to invest in solutions that not only increase our efficiency, but also prepare us for future challenges. We hope that the steps we took in the first half of the year will bring tangible benefits to both our customers and shareholders in the years to come, adds Slawomir Harazin, Vice President of the Management Board of ACTION S.A.
