Piotr Bielinski, President of the Board and CEO of Action S.A., has been ranked 4th in the ‘Best CEOs of sWIG80 companies in 2021’ category of ‘The Best CEOs for Challenging Times’ ranking compiled by one of the country’s leading business magazines “ICAN Management Review Polska”. sWIG80 is an index comprising 80 smaller companies listed on the WSE Main List. The ‘Best CEOs for Challenging Times’ ranking brings together those CEOs of companies listed on Warsaw Stock Exchange who excelled at managing their companies during the time of lockdowns and pandemic restrictions last year.
The year 2021 brought many unexpected developments which required companies to make difficult and swift decisions necessary for their survival. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting lockdowns turned our lives upside down, which also had repercussions for business. The creators of ‘The Best CEOs for Challenging Times’ ranking series took a close look at large, medium-sized and small companies listed on Warsaw Stock Exchange to choose 10 in each category which were managed most effectively throughout this period. In general, the CEOs who performed best in the ranking were also the founders and owners of their companies who have been at their helm for many years. Their approach is that of the owner – they tend to focus on the company’s long-term mission and vision, they take decisions quickly and decisively, and they keep close tabs on key processes in the company. Piotr Bielinski, the CEO and founder of Action S.A., who came 4th in the category of smaller companies, fits that description perfectly.

Having started from a traditional IT distribution model, the company has now expanded into e-commerce business, where it provides a wide range of products and services for its Customers. Action is also a manufacturer and value-added distributor (VAD). It offers more than 50,000 products in various categories, including computers, IT solutions, gaming, home appliances, pet supplies and FMCG.
